The Wieliczka Salt Mine is located about 15 km from Kraków and is easily accessible by car, train, public transportation, or as part of an organized tour.

Established in the 13th century, the mine operated continuously for hundreds of years and became one of the most important salt mining centers in Europe. What makes it truly unique are its original wooden constructions shafts, supports, walkways, and mining mechanisms preserved deep underground.
