What You Will See at Zakopane tours

During the tour, you will explore Zakopane, the winter capital of Poland, journeying through the Tatra Mountains region, including a ride on the historic Gubałówka funicular, the lively streets of Krupówki, and one of the oldest traditional mountain huts in the region.

You will see sweeping panoramic views of the Tatra peaks from the top of Gubałówka, the wooden chalets and highland architecture that define the town, and traditional mountain huts where oscypek – the iconic smoked highland cheese – is still made by hand and paired with cranberry jam. Depending on your tour, you’ll also have free time to wander Krupówki’s shops and cafés, or unwind in the naturally heated waters of Termy Chochołowskie, surrounded by mountain scenery.

The tour provides an opportunity to learn about the history and traditions of the Polish highlands, the culture and daily life of local highlanders, the craft of oscypek cheese-making, and the natural beauty of the Tatra Mountains, with a licensed guide providing cultural and historical context throughout the visit.
